1Playa La Granadella
A beautiful, serene beach to visit with picturesque sunrises and sunsets. This is a great place for snorkelling and exploring the caves, wet shoes advised as the beach is pebbled unlike the other sandy beaches of Javea. Take a picnic or have a siesta in one of the sea front restaurants.
2Montgo Natural Park
For fantastic views of Javea and over the bay of Denia take the 3 hour walk up Montgo. Lush green scenery, mountains and the mediterranean sea can be seen with no need to be an expert climber, this is a straight forward walk.
3Windmills over Javea
Javea is steeped in history and one ancient landmark is a row of grand circular windmills built between the 14th and 18th centuries to grind wheat and other cereals grown in the region. Take the road to Cabo San Antonio and follow signs to the Windmills (Molins), and don’t forget to wrap up warm in the evenings as the area is high up. There is a convenient parking spot and a walk of several hundred metres until you find the set of small windmills that are undergoing renovation, with interpretation boards nearby that provide further background to their history. This is also a great spot for a stunning view over the town and port of Javea. Spend a while there to get your bearings and you might be able to work where Finca Rustica Villa is in the scene before you.
4 Arenal Promenade
Take a stroll down the lovely beachside Arenal Promenade to people watch, hit the beach, shop or eat in some great restaurants. Hire bikes for a short trip on to the colourful fishing port and Old Town area.
5Javea Golf Club
Many come to Alicante for golfing holidays and Javea Golfing Club is a popular destination. A beautifully kept and well established golf course, it is welcoming for experienced and new golfers. A great restaurant and views to the mountains in the far distance add to an excellent golfing experience.
